Since starting in 2019, 4THE1 has explored 15 different venue options in order to establish the ministry as we seek to serve the community of Sir Lowry’s Pass Village long term.

We currently have 60 – 80 children who attend our weekly programmes and have sought to find a suitable piece of land to develop and call “home.”

Currently our Focus Areas include:

Evangelism and Discipleship, Education and Compassion Ministry. We are looking to expand to include Sports Ministry and Community Development (Farming God’s Way).

In February 2024, the J Gey van Pittius family extended kindness to us by allowing us to enter into a lease agreement. This allows for a sense of permanence as we are allowed to develop the vacant land with temporary structures. We received this news with great joy and rejoicing.

We are now seeking to build an Evangelism and Discipleship Centre (to host 80 children), a small sports field, a Compassion Ministry “safe place” and an Education Centre (afterschool education support and extension programme for 20 children). The multipurpose Education Centre will also be used for Community Development in the mornings.

The development will be done in phases as funding becomes available:

Phase 1 will include – the clearing, levelling and fencing of the properties, upgrading the entrances to make them suitable for construction vehicles and the building of the Evangelism and Discipleship Centre. 

Phase 2 will be the construction of the parking lot, Education Centre and Compassion Ministry “safe place.”

Phase 3 will be the development of the third plot of land in establishing the Farming God’s Way sustainable garden.
